Should I Be Worried About The Watery Fluid Coming From Vagina?

For the past couple of days I've had a few gushes of "watery" like fluid coming from my vagina. It's the feeling of when your period starts and you notuce how wet your underpants are... but no blood.I'm 4 months post partum and am using the Marena IUD. I've read other posts similar to my situation and no one has a clue. One woman said even after a few tests that came back fine all her Dr said was that's weird. Is tgis something I should be concerned about?

Hi,

I can understand your concern for the watery fluid coming from vagina. You have not told us the odor of discharge along with any type of whitish or curdy discharge if you felt.

There can be two reasons of watery fluid:

1. Post partal lochial discharge: it is quite common to find delayed discharge even after 3 months post delivery due to uterine endometrial change.

2. IUD insertion: Due to irritation of IUD it can cause the same.

In your case combined effect of both the things can be present. If your discharge is not whitish or curdy then nothing is to be worried about. You can talk to your treating obstetrician or family physician who can check out for nay infection if present.
