Should I Be Worried Of Numb Feeling On Tongue And Ear During 38 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and for the past few weeks I have experienced a weird feeling towards the back of my tongue (the underside) on both sides. It almost feels numb. The right side of my throat and ear also feels uncomfortable when I burb and occasionally when I swallow. Should I be concerned?

Hello and welcome.

Any form of numbness needs to be reported, and even more as the location is closer to the brain I would recommend a visit to the doctor at your earliest convenience.

A few blood investigations along with a possible CT or MRI scan is warranted. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
