Should I Carry Or Abort As The Result Is Gs 2.40cm And Crl .47cm?

gs 2.40cm, crl .47cm, gestational age 6 weeks 3 days, fetal cardiac pulsation not detected, fluid adequate, yolk sac present, corpus lutenum not detected. this is the altrasono report today. should i carry or abort this. my doctor told if i carry this baby may be disable.pls advice.

Hello, thanks for writing in.
Your sonography report shows a very early pregnancy and no cardiac activity.
However, I would suggest a repeat scan in 1-2 weeks to check growth and appearance of fetal cardiac activity, as the CRL is 5mm, and conventionally we do wait for cardiac pulsation till it grows to 7mm.

Presence of yolk sac and fluid is a good sign.
Also if your menstrual age and gestational age by ultrasound are matching, and you have no bleeding or cramping, means you can wait than take a decision now.

If all goes well on the next ultrasound, you must discuss with your doctor about the scans and blood tests in the next month for genetic testing.
