Should I Continue Taking Vinlep And Frizium For Treating Brain Worm

A patient of brain worm taking vinlep 600 bd, frizium 10 bd for 3 months.should he continue.any side effects.he also took predinisolone for 3 months.problem redish eye,itching in head,more sleep.swelling on face.LFT and KFT normal but cholesterole and tryglycerides high.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Those drugs are not given to treat the worm in itself but to prevent seizures which this worm might cause. Since he is under two drugs I imagine he has already had seizures for which they were started. In that case medication should be continued for 2 years. If he has been seizure free during that time medication can be very gradually reduced month after month and if no seizures reappear even interrupted.
