Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have a deeply decayed molar tooth and it seems to have involved the nerves present in the central portion of the tooth..
Once there is nerve involvement,
Root Canal Treatment is the only option if the tooth can be saved..
As far as your query is concerned it will be better to save the tooth by getting root canal treatment followed by capping of the tooth although it is far more costlier than getting tooth pulled or extracted..
This is because a natural tooth is always having a better functioning as compared to an artificial tooth..
Secondly if you get the tooth extracted, you will have difficulty in chewing from that side as the molars are responsible for helping in chewing the food.
If one tooth is lost and I'd not replaced with artificial tooth then the adjacent teeth tend to drift in the empty space created and there is loss of alignment of the teeth..
So in all contexts if tooth can be saved, it is better to get the tooth saved..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
