Should I Get Tested For Herpes After Experiencing Itching And Swelling In Labia?
Yesterday I woke up because my left labia majora was itching...It is now day two and it is swollen and there are distinguishable little red bumps. There are no blisters and no white discharge or odor. Should I get tested for herpes or is it more likely a rash/bacteria from my razor?
Hi Welcome to health care magic. Red itchy lesions on labia which are discrete in appearance may be due to herpes eruption but similar lesions can also occur if you had done a rough shave on the labia and that have lead to excoriation of local skin. In the later case the lesions will subside in further two days. If they still persists then herpes is a prominent possibility and you should get tested, examined and get treated if that is confirmed. I hope the advice will be helpful for you.
