General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

Since there is history of unproved bite resulting in break in skin, it is advisable to start treatment immediately (specially if the vaccination status of the dog is not known) as follows:
1. Proper cleaning of the wound
2. Anti rabies vaccination as per schedule on day 0, 3, 7, 14 & 30.
3. Tetanus shot 0.5 cc intramuscularly.
4. Keep an watch on the dog & look for any symptoms of rabies.

Wish you good health.
Take care.
