Should I Meet A Doctor For Ingrown Hair Infection In Upper Thigh Of A 10 Year Old?

Hello, My 10 year old son has had what appears to be an ingrown hair infection on his upper thigh for about 3 weeks, We have been treating it daily by wiping the area down with peroxide and than applying triple antibiotic under a bandaid each night. The area does not seem to be healing, is it time he sees a doctor or dermatologist? thanks CDV
