Should I Meet Doctor For Persistent Cough And Sore Throat?
I have got a persistent cough which leaves a metallic taste in my mouth as well as a sore throat to swallow and a slight ache in the right side of my face/ear? any ideas what this may be and if i shouls go to my GP or just take some cold and flu tablets
Hello, sore throat could be because of nasal allergy disease in which there is excessive mucus secretion and which trickles down the throat and causes throat irritation and cough. Or there could be a constant reflux disease. reflux disease is reflux of food contents in the food pipe from the stomach like belching , heart burn etc. Ache should not have any relation to it. You should get an ENT consultation to get examined and take treatment for the cause. In doubt do reply
