Should I See A Doctor For Problems In Vision After Hot Oil Getting Into Eyes?

I was using my frying pan while cooking, and all of a sudden a little bit of hot oil came into my eye. I rinsed it with cold water, but it very red and stinging. Now my I have terrible eyesight, and I require eye glasses all the time. Should I go see a doctor or just use eye drops for a few days instead?
