Should I Take An Antibiotics Or Steroid For Swelling And Itching In Knees And Arms?
I have red, swollen and itchy areas on my knees and both arms. Some went away but the others still remain. Sometimes I would get another one next to an old one that disappeared. They start off small and then they ballooned up ! They are in a circular shape. Its not a ringworm. Should I be on antibiotics or a steroid ? Please help me.
All your symptoms suggest systemic infection leading to swelling.
Most common reason for enlarged lymph node is usually infection, so we can start antibiotic regime and look for results. You may need to investigate in form of complete blood count, ESR, CRP.
So I will advise you to consult a specialist and do required investigation. If infection is confirmed you can start antibiotic.
