Should I Take Further Test For HIV After Elisa 1 & 2 Are Negative?

Sir,after a low risk exposure i had almost all the hiv symptoms. At the same time i had a severe tooth infection going.May be symptoms are due to that.

But now my 13 week elisa 1 & 2 tests are negative. My doctor says this is conclusive. Please suggest should I further go for testing.

Hello,
Thanks for the consult...

Brief answer,
Need not be worried.

Detailed explanation,
1. I looked your query and i can help you. You already mentioned that you done ELISA test on 13th week of exposure to risk
2. So you need not be worried you are not infected with hiv. No tests are needed further
3.The symptoms which you said are consider as Acute Retrovial symptoms (ARS) which are common in 40% of non infectious cases of hiv
4. Even if you have doubt in mind then try to do the confirmation test called WESTERN BLOT test which can be done after 6 weeks of risk exposure

Hope this information helps
