Should I Take Medicine For Sinus Or Allergy Issues?
Hi, I have been having either sinus or allergy issues lately. I have been taking Dayquil and Nyquil in an attempt to get through it. Tonight I had a nasty nosebleed that took a little while to get rid of. I was wondering if they were linked. I have an important event tomorrow morning and I don t want to get a nosebleed during it, so should I still take the Dayquil tomorrow even if I still have sinus or allergy issues?
Hi. Thanks for your query. First of all it is imperative to decide whether you are suffering from allergic rhinitis or sinus problems. And the major issue at the moment is bleeding from the nose called as epistaxis and that you have an important event tomorrow. I would advise you the following: - First of all consult a Doctor, preferably an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation and internal ENT examination so that a proper cause be found on internal examination and advise you CT scan and tests of blood, for routine and microscopy and blood including that for coagulopathy. This will decide the exact cause of bleeding per nose - Take locally acting decongestant nasal drops. - A course of another medicines as may be needed
