This leads to water retention, as the water load cant be filtered through failing kidneys.Anaemic from Chronic Kidney disease, could be reason of such a retention of water in legs/ abdomen. Other causes of such a leg edema-as accompanied liver cirrhosis with liver function failure. For this Blood urea/ nitrogen with serum electrolytes, with blood hemoglobin and other tests would be needed, before planning further treatment.
