Should Intercourse Be Avoided During The Course Of HPV Vaccination?

I just got my first dose of the hpv vaccine today. I understand i will need the 2nd dose in 2 months and the 3rd dose in 6months. I am engaged and so just wondering if we need to set our wedding 6 months out, so as to not be sexually active until after my 3rd dose... Is this necessary or can it be sooner? thank you!

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccines are vaccines that prevent infection caused by certain types of HPVs. All vaccines are known to protect against the virus that cause cervical cancer.
Having intercourse is not an contraindication while taking the vaccine. However, vaccine is most effective if given before exposure tonvirus by means of sexual activity.
Vaccination is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Kindly complete the vaccination process as per the schedule.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
