I am a regular smoker(3-6 cigs a day)..... I am 18 and have been smoking fr 2 yrs ...... I played basketball last night and after the game smoked 1 cig and had a Pepsi . From today morning after waking up i am having a left-lower chest pain ..... Is it something to be worried about . Or is it just because of the cold weather. Hi,

As you are a smoker, you have higher chances to get heart disease although your young age (18 yrs old).

If I was your caring doctor would advise to run some cardiac tests including:
- EKG
- cardiac Echo
- Holter monitoring
- abdominal ultrasound
- chest X-ray

to exclude organic problems. If everything will be ok, then, it might be a neuro-muscular pain due to playing basketball and cold weather.

All the best!
