Should Nitrostat Be Used For Possible Cardiac Event?

Hi. My fiancé has just taken a new pain medication and is experiencing some issues. He has a history of CHF and his BP is 186/61 pulse rate 85. I told him that I thought he was having a cardiac event....but he refuses to allow me to take him to the hospital. Should he go ahead and use his NitroStat?

Dear Friend

He is already a patient of CHF and Hypertension , he is at risk of cardiac event like myocardial infarction, even Stroke.
There is no point in self medicating him at this Blood Pressure.
Get him to ER immediately.

All the best.
