Should One Use Supplements During Radiation And What Are They?
I have just completed 31 radiation treatments over two months for tonsilar, soft palet and a small amount of tung squamis cell ting cancer. I had received on a weelky basis a small dose of Carboplatin, which seemed to have no sode effects. I am 70 years old. As a teenager I had radiation treatment for severe acne once a week over about six months. My father was a phycision who specialised in chest problems and had one of those monster fluroscope machines that made the lights dim, and used it on my brother and I when ever we had a chest cold. Should I have been using a supplement during radiation treatments, or should I be using one now? which one and how much? I use sea salt instead of the usual table salt because of the aluminum added to salt as well as the iodine. Sea salt doesn't have as much iodine as regular table salt.
