Should Other Tests Be Considered For HIV Or STD Testing?
Found a blister... got worried. did vdrl test and the result is "non-reactive". did the Antigen HBs with a Negative result did the hepatitis C (HCV), Negative too did also the HIV (test 1), Negative... should I consider anything else or I'm in the clear?
Hello You got so many test ,including for vdrl, hepatitis, B , C , HIV but you didn't mention few things: Where is this blister, Duration (time ) . History of contract for HIV infection as sexual , blood transfusion, needle prick. Responding to treatment or not . Other symptoms simulating HIV or for other disease . These reports are necessary for establishment for HIV diagnosis. Good luck.
Hello However , you didn't mention the history ( sexual contact , time period ) ,so it is very difficult to say something about disease . HIV, Hepatitis B , C , VDRL all are negative , this is good step in right direction . But ,there is a blister and history of sexual contract is not there , so still I advise get in BIOPSY of that blister for human papillomavirus ( HPV), DONOVANOSIS ( because blister in this is painless and beefy, red ), chancroid . Still I advise you either upload complete history or consult a dermatologist for this blister. Hope this will help you.
