Should Smoking Marijuana Be Avoided Post A Knee Surgery?
On March 16th I got surgery on my right knee: I do smoke weed to help with my anxiety, depression and my eating disorder. The surgery I received was to move my knee cap to the correct place, and I have a ligament they put in my knee to keep my knee cap in place. I understand I can not smoke cigarettes because it can cause my bone not to heal In a timely manor. So does that mean I can t smoke weed? Like I can t smoke a blunt? Just trying to figure out if I can actually smoke weed, and not be at risk for my bone not healing .
Smoking marijuana or any other such a thing following major surgery could interfere with circulatory process causing delay in wound healing. Hence, such substances should be avoided completely until the affected part heals fully.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
