Should Swollen Eyes Be Treated With Icing Or Warm Compresses?

I fell on the sidewalk yesterday on my hands and knees and write side if face Kept icing on the face all day yesterday so it did not swell. Woke up this morning and have swelling around the eyes. Less pain. Should I continue icing or use warm compresses

Icing is effective within 24 hours of injury as it is constrict vessels and hence stop entry of inflammatory mediators to affected site...

Warm compression are effective after 24 hours of injury ... As it will dilate vessels & hence hasten clearing of metabolic wastes and inflammatory products causing pain & swelling...
