Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Should The ER Be Visited After Accidentally Overdosing On Lisinopril?
I take a daily dose of 30 mg Lisinopril. I am a non-dialysis stage 4 kidney failire patient. I am currently preparing for back surgery and take an occasional dose of Tramadol/APAP 37.5-325 which looks like my Lisinopril. I accidentally took the Lisinopril instead of the Tramadol. I took my regualr 30 mg tablet four hours ago. I llive alone. Should I simply monitor my bp and stay awake over the next few hours or should I go to the ER? I also took Amlodipine 5mg and Chlorthalidone 25 mg four hours ago as prescribed with my dose of Lisinopril.
If you are not feeling any discomfort, you can self-monitor your blood pressure for a day or two. If you have symptoms of chest tightness, drowsiness, increased heartbeat, do visit ER.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
