Should The ER Be Visited For Sudden Vomiting And Diarrhea?

I had food poisoning (presumably) with vomiting and diarrhea on Monday early morning. Sudden onset, violent vomiting. Extremely fatigued 2 days, now very tired, but think because I can t eat. Diarrhea continued another day, and have been nauseous since. When I try to eat, I fill up very fast and it feels like a block of lead in my tummy. My feces has turned pale, looks like the clay color I found on the web. I left a voicemail for my NP, but haven t heard. I don t know if I am okay. Should I wait a few more days? Should I go to the emergency room?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If you can't keep anything down like fluid or water you are dehydrated and should visit ER.
They will give you perfusion to fill you with glucose and electrolyte and compensate dehydration.
They may give reglan and loperamide for vomiting and diarrhoea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
