Should The ER Be Visited Immediately For Blood Pressure Level Of 180/88?

Hi my blood pressure right now is 180/88...I've been on telma 20 for 2 months now...one dose in the morning and it's now past midnight where I live. Should I go to an emergency center immediately or can I go to the doctor tom morning? I just had a pacemaker operation 2 months ago for tachycardia and also have bradycardia. I'm 72 years old.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your concern and would explain that your blood pressure values are high. I would recommend taking another pill of telma 20 and see if your blood pressure drops. If these blood pressure values persist, going to the ER may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
