Should The Foul Smell From Vagina Mean That The IUD Must Be Replaced ?
In November there was a piece of condom left in vagina for over a month i had obvious bad symptoms but when i went to the doctor twice they said it was a yeast infection (they never even looked) finally i went to a good doctor and he found the problem and removed it. but every sense then i have not been right down there at all, now it smells like mold. I do have an IUD in there that i have had for 4 years should i have that removed and another put it? Maybe the bacteria from the condom that was left in for so long stayed on the IUD is that possible?
Hi,thanks for query.First of all get that IUD removed. There are all the chances of infection in that area and that is the reason for problem that you are having.Ideally after 3-4 years you should take a brake from IUD and use something else for time being.please take treatment for infection and you will be fine.
wishing you good health.
