Should The Schedule To Take Medicines For BP And PE Change While Travelling?

Traveling to Europe in a few days, I am on Lisinopril for blood pressure that I take in morning. My husband is on Warfarin for PE he had back in Feb. He takes his Warfarin in the evening before bed. What schedule should we use while in Rome and France for 3 weeks?

Hi,
You can stay on the same routine of taking your medications at the same time of the day. You do not mention where you are travelling from however, these medications will still provide adequate cover even when the regularity of administration is slightly adjusted.
I suggest you take the usual precautions for air travel which include maintaining good hydration with plenty of water whilst travelling. Try to move around when possible during the flight. Perform regular ankle and lower leg exercises. Wear compression stockings throughout the flight.
I you would like any further questions answered, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Have a good trip.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger
