Should Thigh Pain In Sitting Posture Be A Cause For Concern?

For about a week, I ve been experiencing a mild but persistent ache in my left thigh, a little above & to the left of the knee. It seems to be exacerbated by too much sitting, because I don t notice it when I m moving around. Should I be concerned about a blood clot or varicose veins? I m 48 and may be starting menopause.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having pinched nerve pressure producing Sciatica pain while sitting for long time.
At this age there might be having some degenerative changes in lower vertebrae due to osteo-artheritis.
Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region.
Afterwards physiotherapy, short way diathermy or lumbar traction will be of much helpful.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
