Should Typhoid And Chickenpox Vaccines Be Given To A Child?
I have a 2 yrs daughter. The vaccination chart shows a vaccine for Typhoid at the age of 2. But her Pediatrician said the vaccine is protective only for 3 yrs and its not important, instead he asked me to give chicken pox vaccine (which is optional in the chart). what should i do?
HI...greetings from Chennai. I suggest you give both the vaccines. Even if you have to repeat it 3 years once it is worth it to give chickenpox vaccine. I am a paediatrician and I have given my son all the vaccines including the optional ones. always remember - PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
