Shoulder X-ray Reported Dark Spots On Joint, Upper Part Of Arm. Why Is This Caused?
Hi! I had a shoulder xray yesterday and caught a glimspe of the xray as I was leaving the room. I noticed that on the joint and the upper part of my arm had dark spots. The dark spot on the upper arm was quite significant. I am 57, female and osteopenia near osteoporsis on my bone scan chart. Is there reason for concern or is this just a picture of normal bone loss due to aging? Thank you!
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Dark spots may be a normal shadow , may be an abnormal shadow. If osteoporosis is there then please upload the scanned report and X ray over this site . Without any X ray picture , it is very difficult to say something. Good luck. Dr. HET
