Since I Moved To Florida I Stayed At Y Father's

Since I moved to Florida I stayed at y father's house. He has well water, he came from New York city. Not being familiar with well water and the care of the tank and being elderly the tank was never cleaned. I've been showering and washing my hair with this dirty well water. I called a local water treatment company to remove the tank and replace it with a newer system. The water company showed us all the fungus and bacteria in the tank. A lot of slimmy green and white substance in the tank. I now have thinning hair and gaps. Could this be a fungus on my scalp?
