Since Stopped Using Condoms, Burning Sensation In Vagina, Urinating. Positive For Hsvl. Help?

Hello I have with my boyfriend for about 6 months now and we just recently spotted using condoms and ever since we stopped my vagina has been burning and burns when I urinate also I've had BV like 3 times I also tested positive for hsv1 but I have never had an out break on my mouth or vagina I know I got it from him. Is it possible that I have it down there or is it just irritated from all the antibiotics.

Hi,
You are having one of the following two:
1. vaginitis: is an infection of the vagina by various organisms. This has associated copious discharge that may be having an offensive smell. If it is so, consult your gynecologist and get treated.
2. lack of lubrication in the vagina / vaginal dryness leading to more friction and ulceration. Usually this is associated with itching. If you feel dry use a lubricant cream while sexual episodes.
Since you have been having repeated episodes of infections, I suggest that you and your partner receive treatment simultaneously to prevent cross infection form one to the other.
Use of condoms is advisable in your case as they prevent against such infections.
Hope this helped. Thanks and have a good day.
