Hi, the other day I began to have some itches on my groin area. I went to the bathroom and checked it out and the skin above my testicles looked very dry and appeared to be peeling (small flakes). and then above that near my urethra, the skin is very wrinkly and dry also. The back skin looks fine but the dry side is red and doesn't look right. So, I was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix this up. Thank you.
Hi ! From your history, it seems that you have got some kind of fungal infection of the area. It is best to prevent such infections by keeping the area clean and dry, and changing the under garments daily. Once you have got this, you have to apply some kind of anti fungal cream specially when you are home and at bed time so that it stays there for maximum time. During the day time, you may use some kind of anti fungal powder to avoid messy and stickiness causing discomfort to you during work. If the problem persists, then you have to visit a Dermatologist who may advise you for oral anti fungal drugs once it it diagnosed as a fungal infection. Depending on your age, you should also get a blood sugar tested for you. Wishing you an early recovery.
