Skin Around Eyes Gets Irritated After Swimming In Pool, Looks Like Burn. Cure For Symptoms?
The skin around my son's eyes get very irrated after swimming in a pool. Not his eyes but the skin all around his eyes. Almost looks like a mild burn. Happens every time he is in a pool. We put Vaseine on his skin tk try to protect it. But isn't working and this is what the dermatologist recommended last year. Any ideas what could help?

Hi, Your sons skin around the eyes became irritated after swimming every time.
It is most probably due to allergy to the disinfectants used in it, I to my patients with such symptoms prescribe citrizine, cefixime, and steroid containing eye drops. It appears that whenever he swims he will get it and to be treated. Thank you.
