Skin Peeling On The Face. Will It Heal Of Its Own?
Some skin came off my face and then it scabbed a few days ago. I put paw paw cream on it and it looks like its getting worse. now around the outside its really red and raw like a layer of my skin has come off and when it dries it has like layer of yellowish stuff on it. should i be worried and get it looked at or is it just healing?
hi..thanks of your query.
the time taken for a lesion on skin would depend on the depth of the injury.if it is a superficial peeling out of sin , it should not be more the 5-7 days. You might have reacted to any cream or its ingredients put on it.
As of now, you can put an antibiotic cream like Mupirocin 2% cream 2-3 times per day on it for 7 days. The 'yellow stuff' you mention may be due to bacterial infection on the wound. Please do not touch it , as this might increase the chances of scar remaining.
hope this helps.take care!
