Hi,
You do not seem to have
scabies.
Scabies is caused by sarcoptes scabie...a parasite.
It is a contageous and spread by contact and fomites.
Your brother did not have scabies when you were with him.
After one week he developed scabies.
So, I do not think that you have scabies.
There are burrows in skin of interdigital area and wrists in patient of scabies. And it is diagnostic for scabies.
Burrow ink test is a test for the diagnosis of scabies.
Burrow Ink Test (BIT) consists of gently rubbing the scabietic papule with the underside of a fountain pen, covering it with ink. The excess ink is then wiped off with an alcoholsaturated gauze. If a burrow is present the ink will track down it and outline the limits of the canal....
You may go for this test. If it is positive take Antiscabatic treatment.
Tab.ivermectol 12 mg for two days at night.
Apply
permethrin cream at night from neck to toe.
For itching, take anti histaminic like
levocetirizine.
If negative test, do not take Antiscabatic treatment.
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
