Slight Black Eye With Big Painful Bump On Cheekbone Due To Banging The Face. Could The Bone Be Broken?
Hi 4 Weeks ago I fell and banged my face on the corner of a marble fire place my face immidiatly swelled up and I had a really big black eye. I ve still got a slight black eye but I ve got a big noticeable bump on my cheek none that s still hurts to touch is it broken ? She s I have went to the doctors? I thought it wide of healed by now thanks
Hello, welcome to HCM, Thanks for your query. Looks like you had quite a fall Don’t worry abuot the black eye ,it is collection of blood in the soft tissue around the eye . this resolves in a couple of weeks Secondly the swelling on your cheek is still painful to touch and its 4weeks past. In this case do visit an ortopedician/oral-maxllofacial surgeon(facial bone specialist).an x ray of face front/side will give a clear picture Do take painkillers(diclofenac)and serrstiopeptidase tabs.to reduce swelling and pain. Cold compresses 2-3 times a day will also help. Hope you get good guideline by this.
