Slight Raise In Gamma GT, Fatty Liver. Normal Blood Tests, BMI. Recommendations?

I have a slight raise in Gamma GT. However I'm not drinking more than 1 glass of alcohol a week( on good week) but can stay up to a month without alcohol?
My BMI is normal, and all other blood test were ok. I ve been diagnosed with a fatty liver few years ago, but no other sign than MRI showing it. I'm 34 with 2 kids and no chronic conditions or medications.

Hi,

The slight raise in the Gamma GT test may be due to the occasional glass of alcohol as GGT level is a very sensitive indicator of alcohol intake. Try repeating the test after more than a month of abstinence and most likely you will find the levels have come down. I do not feel there is any cause for you to worry.

Hope this is helpful. Best wishes.
