Small Amount Of Blood After Bowel Movement. Reasons ?
In the past I have noticed a small amount of blood on the toilet paper after a bowel movement but over the last few days there has been small quantities of blood, enough to colour the toilet water. The blood appears on the toilet paper but after a few wipes it is gone. A couple of bowel movement over the last few days have not had any blood. It seems to be coming from inside and maybe at times building up. I am a 53 year old male.

Blood in the stool can be alarming when seen but it may not necessarily indicate a serious condition. It is however important to rule out serious conditions first.
You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment.This would include a history and physical examination.
Your doctor would ask about abdominal pain, vomiting, change in bowel habits, change in appetite, family history.
Investigations would include stool analysis and imaging of the colon.
