Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Is she anemic?Usually we cant percieve our own heartbeat. Percieving heart beat is known as palpitations and some times the thin individuals with thin chest may percieve their own heart beat. Consult your pediatrician for the examination of her cardiovascular syatem and to rule out the high pulse rate and ant underlying abnormality.

Pediatrician, Cardiology Dr. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Jain's  Response
Hello
Feeling of fast heart beat is called palpitation. It is normal during exertion like running, playing etc and if not associated with exertional breathlessness.
If she is complaining of this palpitation even during rest then it should be evaluated.
If this is associated with exertional breathlessness or sweating or improper weight gain then I would suggest you consult your physician to rule out any heart or endocrine abnormality.
