Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query,
It is looking like Diaper dermatitis whcih may be due to prolonges wear of diaper or may be a fungal(candidal)infection which is common in children due persistent presence of wet areas.
You can apply zinc oxide based creams which are available OTC and the area should be wiped gently after cleaning with water and should be allowed to dry and then apply the cream.
If it is due to candidal infection antifungal topical application is required so consult your Pediatrician for examination and treatment.

Hello
Redness in perianal region is a sign of dermatitis. This dermatitis may be allergic diaper dermatitis or infective candidial dermatitis.
Double base cream is an emollient,it contains myristate and paraffin. Along with emollient, zinc and antifungal containing ointment will be more helpful.
I would suggest you to apply a cream containing all these and keep the area dry. Don't rub but wipe gently, that will avoid injury.

Hi.
Thanks for your query,
Your baby is having dermatitis usually due to diapers,or could be candiasis also.
I advise you to keep area dry, avoid diapers ,wipe area gently with water.,
You can apply caladryl lotion, you can also give benadryl as per dosage for 1 to 2 days,
In case symptoms persist consult your pediatrician as she may require some topical medication for it.

Your baby will be fine.
God bless
