Small Circular Bump Under The Penis. Tiny Amount Of White Fluid And Little Blood When Drained. History Of HPV And Chlamydia In Sexual Partner. What Can It Be?

Hello Doctor,

I am wondering about a small (1/2cm dia) circular bump on the underside of my penis. It does not "pop" when squeezed, only blood comes out. I attempted to I&D it and used a sterile 24g needle to lance it to which a tiny amount of white fluid came out, then blood. I am married and to my knowledge both of us have been faithful, but my wife was diagnosed with HPV and clamydia in the past and i am worried. I have scheduled an appointment with my provider but am looking for a method of finding out what this is for sure before he just writes me off as molluscum or warts. Are there no blood tests?

Hi,
You are married and both of you did not have any extra marital contact. Your wife was diagnosed with HPV and clamydia earlier. There is no test for men to check one’s overall “HPV status.” Ladies are diagnosed by Pap smear. Partners usually share HPV, if you have been with your partner for a long time. Most sexually active adults will have HPV at some time in their lives. So blaming each other is a non sense. Although HPV is common, the health problems caused by HPV are much less common. You and your partner may benefit from getting screened for other STDs.
HPV (Human papilloma virus) infection turning into a wart is later, unpredictable and depends upon the type of HPV.
Advise: As usual for any infection - Antibiotic + Anti inflammatory along with CIRCUMCISION after control of infection.
Probably long term use of condoms either male or female. Female condoms provide somewhat greater protection than male condoms, as the female condom allows for less skin contact.
If either one of the you develop wart, consult Dr
Best wishes
