Small Hole At Bottom Of Breast With Broken Skin, Green And Red Streaks On Breasts, With Knot At Bottom. History Of Being Bitten By Pit Bull On Breast. Serious?

Hello, I was recently bit by a pitbull on my right breast . His teeth broke my skin at the top of my breast and at the bottom I have a small hole. I noticed that I have green and red streaks around the outside of the bite and I found what feels like a knot at the bottom of my breast. I did not seek medical attention, but I do clean and take care of it everyday. Should I be worried ?

The bite of the bull might have resulted in a contusion injury to your right breast.Contusion injury refers to bleeding inside the skin and interstitial tissues..This is what, you may be seeing as red and green streaks.Green colour occurs as a result of oxidation of heamoglobin,which is one of the stages of healing of a contusion.The break of the skin at the top and the hole at the bottom of your breast are abrasions.Abrasions also heal quickly if not complicated,like contusion.The chances of infection is higher in abrasion and contusion.If infected healing may take longer.It would be advisable for you to take medical attention to ensure complication free early healing.
