Small Laceration On Forehead Due To Heavy Object Hit On Head. CT Scan Showed No Fracture, Just Swelling. Normal?

i had a 100 pound object hit me in the front of the head and on top of the head(temporal/frontal i guess)..ihad small laceration on the eyebrow that they stiched.they did at CT.said no fracture, just swelling.Swelling of what?? I did not ask.. I have no feeling on the top of my head or on my forhead either. The ER dr. said not to worry it was the swelling and it is normal...I guess I am feeling concerned

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
Based on the description, your doctor would have referred to external swelling over the forehead (which can be seen on the CT, as soft tissue swelling).
In some cases of head injury, there could be internal brain swelling as well, especially if you have severe headache, vomiting, etc. Since you do not have these symptoms, I think you did not have internal brain swelling.
