Small Lump Under Armpit, Swelling During Ovulation, Before Period, Stopped Breastfeeding. Treatment?
I have a squashy chestnut sized lump under my left armpit that I noticed when I weaned my second child. I have had it scanned and the doctors detected nothing suspicious but for a week around ovulation adn before period the left armpit feels swollen and sore, radiating into breast and chest and shoulder . What can I do? Is this a hormone imbalance I can do something about? I am a 38 year old woman and otherwise healthy.
Hi, Thanks for query.
As this lump has relation with your cycle then it may be due to some problem in your breast.
If you have some lump or swelling in your breast, due to period there is some hormonal effect in your breast.
Lymphatic system in the breast is related to lymph nodes in the armpit.
So go for your through breast examination or Mammography to rule out any problem in the breast.
Ok and bye.
