Small Red Bumps On Upper Thigh Close To Pelvic Area, Sexually Active With Same Partner. What Could Be This?

HI! I have a some small red bumps on my upper inner thigh close to my pelvic area on both legs.(like a rash) They do not bother me, they do not seem to be filled with fluid and I usually don't notice they're there until I see them. Any ideas as to what this could be? Although I am sexually active, I do not think this is an STD, I've been with the same partner for awhile now.

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

From your description, it does sound like petechiae, which are a presentation linked to a number of conditions.

Getting an elaborate blood profile done will certainly help, as most conditions that can cause the appearance of petechiae are seen on an elaborate blood panel. Some of the conditions that can cause the appearance of petechiae include:
-Medications
-Vitamin K deficiency
-Liver abnormalities
-Viral infections
and many more.

Please consult your doctor regarding the same, as a physical examination will also provide vital clues and guide your doctor in the right direction.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
