Small White Patches In Back. Diagnosed Pre Vitiligo And Tinea Versicolor By Different Doctors. On Antifunal And Tacroz Cream. Help
Hi I have small white patches on my back these are of circular shape I consulted to a doctor she said it could be pre vitiligo but was not very sure for it so gave me melgain and tacroz forte after some days I consulted another doctor he said it is tinea versicolor when I asked whether it is vitiligo or not he said no it is not then he scratched one of the patch and said it is not vitiligo now I am applying both anti fungal and tacroz and observed that the white patches are changing back to skin colour it's almost month, one of the patch is gone but three are left they are also in the process plz tell me whether it is vitiligo or tinea versicolor ? I am highly tensed becoz of this plz help me
Hello Thanks for your query posted. I would be suggest you to visit a Doctor who would use a Woods lamp and that will differentiate between the two. The Wood's lamp examination by the Dermatologist gives an immediate differentiating point between these two conditions.
