Smelly Liquid Discharge On External Skin Of Ear After Scratching. Medication To Heal?

Hello doc, my problem is their is a smelly liquid discharge on external skin of my ear after scratching it. Also after sometime, this liquid dries like healing the scratch. But the problem is after I take a bath, it gets wet then the same thing happens and this liquid makes me uncomfortable because it feel like ticking near the tube of my ear. Can you recomend somethin that could speed up healing of this scratches so it wouldnt produce more watery and smelly thing?

Hi,
Thanks for contacting HCM
You have smelly liquid discharge on external skin of ear after scratching.
These all finding suggestive of otitis externa may be due to anaerobic bacterial infection or mixed infection , I would suggest to you that you avoid water, oil, ear bud and scratching in the ear and consult ENT specialist for cleaning the ear and better management.

Thanks
Dr Hariom Sharma
