Hello Dr. Samuel, I'm a 35, male Indian. I'd been on and off cigarettes for some time (about 2 years) but was never a heavy smoker. I only smoked about 4-5 cigs max/day. I've been away from them for about 3 years now, only an occasional one (once in 7-8 months or so). Recently, I had a solitary cig, once a day for 3 days....and started experiencing chest pains :( It's not heavy pain, but it's a chest discomfort....something which I feel when breathing in heavily or starching my arms/doing push ups. I cycled about 13 kilometers this morning- never was short of breath, no issues whatsoever...its jus tthat this dull pain in the chest doesn't seem to go away. Can u suggest something please? RS
Hi Samuel, Thanks for using healthcare magic. I have gone through your available history.
You seems to have developed nicotine intoxication even though you are taking it occasionally. You should avoid it taking occasionally also. Some persons have increased sensitivity to smoking which might be a case with you.
If you have persistent pain, you should consult physician. Meanwhile you can do breathing exercise to help.
Thanks.
