Smoking Pot Regularly, Weight Loss, Appetite Loss. Blood Work Shows Elevated Liver Enzymes And WBC Count. What Do You Know?
Hi, my 19 year old son smokes pot on a regular basis. Just came home from school has lost weight, lost his appetite and just had blood work done and his liver enzymes are elevated along with his white blood cell . I ve been reading smoking pot on a regular basis can affect liver enzymes, what do you know? Thank you Carol
I understand your concerns. Smoking pot has a lot of effects on the body and the ones that you mention are very common. Weight loss due to loss of appetite is also common as well as having the munchies in some cases resulting in carb craving and a gain in weight. I also believe that if your body is not able to metabolize the amount of cannabis in your system your liver enzymes will also be elevated. I believe that you may be physiologically and psychologically dependent on marijuana and need treatment at a specialized rehabilitation facility. I hope you understand and seek the expert help of a psychiatrist who is trained in substance abuse disorders to get yourself to the path of recovery.
I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
