Something Popped In Left Eye, Red Rashes Close To Pupil, Turning Yellowish, Sharp Pains. What May Be This ?
Yes, earlier today, I felt something pop in my left eye. My eyes had red small cells close to my pupil and started turning yellowish green. All day my eye has been bothering me and it s getting worse. I m getting sharp pains in my left side next to my eye. They are starting to burn , my left side feels swollen and my eyes are blood shot red. Do you know what it may be and if I need to go to the ER?
Hi Virgo,
Welcome to healthcare Magic!
It seems the insect has either stinged in the eye or it has been rubbed to release an allergic reaction there.
Eye is a very delicate organ and may get damaged very soon if neglected. So you should go to ER as soon as possible.
You would need a thorough cleaning of the eye with saline and then local eye drops and may be systemic antibiotics, antihistamine and steroids also depending upon the local condition.
Early treatment can ensure a good outcome.
I hope the advise would be informative and useful for you.
Take Care!
